It will cost a little more in 2022 for a family and individual passes at the Gilley Pool. Parks and Recreation Director Justin Scott told the board that individual passes will increase from 75 dollars to 85 dollars for the season. Family passes will increase from 210 to 225 dollars. Daily rates will remain the same in 2022 at 5 dollars for adult, 4 dollars for youth and 4 dollars for senior citizens. Almost 29,000 people use the Gilley Pool in 2021.
Also Scott announced that seasonal workers will see an increase in wages. Head Guards will make 11 dollars an hour, Lifeguards 10 an hour, Pool Manager 14 an hour, Concession workers 9 an hour, Concession Supervisor 11 an hour and Front Desk Attendant 9 an hour.
Gilley Pool will open the 2022 season on May 28.
