The McMinnville Board of Mayor and Alderman Tuesday night voted to table the second and final reading of an ordinance to reduce the speed limit on Post Road from 30 to 20 miles per hour. Mayor Ryle Chastain started the discussion saying even though he voted to pass on first reading he was going to voted no on second. Chastain said stop signs were put up and taken down hastily last month and added that reducing the speed limit won’t make a difference. It was tabled to the March 22 meeting so more research could be gathered.
