Four people were taken to the hospital following a two vehicle wreck on Shelbyville Road near Trousdale Church of Christ Thursday evening.
According to Trooper Ben Cannon of the Tennessee Highway Patrol a 2015 Buick, driven by 64 year old Dennis Morgan, was traveling on Shelbyville Road toward Pocahontas when he noticed a silver Chevy Enclave, driven by 38 year old Laura Acuna, has crossed the center line into his lane and struck him on the drivers side of his vehicle. Both drivers suffered injuries. Acuna’s passenger, 43 year old Tabitha Gonzalez and Morgan’s passenger, 55 year old Lillian Register along with the drivers were transported to River Park Hospital with injuries.
Cannon said charges are pending against Acuna for driving under the influence and failure to maintain her lane.
