The McMinnville Board of Mayor and Alderman Tuesday night appointed five new members to the Park Theater Advisory Board. They include Christy Ross, Ken Youngblood, Johnathan Jones, Vicky Myers and Emily Stefanik. Joe Harvey, whose term was expiring, was appointed to fill the remaining term of Tenarra Grissom ,who resigned. The board now consist of nine members and will meet bi-monthly instead of quarterly.
The board approved a resolution to accept the bid for a 2022 Toyota Camry in the amount of 24,113 dollars for the City Administration Department and passing on second and final reading 304 Mullican St. was changed from R-1 low density residential to C-2 General Commercial.
In committee news, the Water and Sewer Committee accepted the low bid from Portland Utilities COnstruction in Portland TN in the amount of 1,189,135 dollars. The Community Development Block Grant will be in the amount of 630,000 dollars with a matching fun the city will be responsible for approximately 572,000 dollars. The city will do inspections to save on cost. It will go before the full board Nov. 23rd.
