Two people were transported Tuesday morning following a two vehicle wreck near Eastside.
According to Trooper Ben Cannon of the Tennessee Highway Patrol a 2003 Lexus, driven by 44 year old Anna Young of McMinnville was turning off Hennessee Bridge Road heading east toward Sparta when she pulled in front of a silver Dodge Journey, driven by 36 year old Amber Smith of McMinnville. Smith was treated at the scene and was not transported. Young, along with her passenger, her mother Daltha Majors were transported to River Park Hospital. Majors was later airlifted to Vanderbilt Hospital. Cannon said that Young was driving on a suspended license for a failure to appear and was cited. She was also cited for failure to yield the right of way.
Both vehicles were towed from the scene.
