The McMinnville Board of Mayor and Alderman Tuesday night passed several resolutions.
Some of the highlights include accepting a bid from Volunteer Highway Supply Co. in Knoxville for 10,000 dollars for pavement and striping in urgent places in the city. It was approved in committee on the 14th. They also accepted a bid for a 2022 Dodge SLT quad cab for animal control for 28,823 dollars. Two services trucks for just over 100,000 dollars was accepted from Ford of Murfreesboro for the city water department. Alderman Stacey Harvey said it was well deserved for their hard work.
The city accepted the bid from Nafeco for 59,525 dollars for an Eagle Air Systems Blackhawk compressor for the fire department. Chief Kendall Mayfield said this will replace the current compressor that’s over 35 years old. And the board passed a resolution to enter into an agreement with Investment Partners LLC and South High Partners for purchase of the Blue Building. The deal is not finalized and negotiations continue, including details on the TIF, or Tax Increment Fundimg.
