A McMinnville man was arrested early Saturday morning after fleeing from police and crashed his vehicle on Main Street.
According to Trooper Rodney Whiles of the Tennessee Highway Patrol a pursuit with sheriffs deputies began on Vervilla Road involving a 2002 Green Ford Explorer Sport Trac that was pulling an empty eight foot trailer. The chase went thru Westwood and onto Main Street when the truck fishtailed, lost control and hit the concrete embankment at the rear of Security Federal, jumped the wall and crashed into a sign and landscaping and struck one of the flagpoles. The driver, 26 year old Timothy Saylors, was taken into custody by the sheriffs department. Saylors’ passenger, 38 year old Jaiana Holmes of McMinnville, was transported to River Park hospital with neck and shoulde pain. Whiles said that the truck was registered to Emmanuel Ramirez. The truck was not reported stolen.
Saylors will appear in court on Tuesday on numerous charges including reckless driving, reckless endangerment and destruction of property.
