A Sequatchie Co. man was arrested Wednesday morning at the corner of West Colvilel and High St.
According to Officer Brent Hickerson of the McMinnville Police Department around 6am someone called 911 to report a GMC Savana van driving recklessly on Beersheba St. Hickerson said he saw the van had a brake light out and turned on his blue lights. The van proceeded to run the red light at South Chancery and Colville before pulling to a stop at the stop sign at the corner of High St. and Colville. The driver, identified as 23 year old Cody Kilgore of Dunlap, told officers that he was going to see his girlfriend but could not tell them the exact address. Officers conducted a search of the vehicle and found scales and what appeared to be meth. A gun was found in his possession. The vehicle was also unregistered.
Kilgore was placed under arrest and charged with reckless driving, possession of drugs and paraphernalia, felon in possession of a firearm, unregistered vehicle and driving on a revoked license. It was revoked as a result of a DUI. Kilgore was taken to the Warren Co. Jail. He has a history of evading and had warrants in Sequatchie Co.
