One person was injured in a two-vehicle accident at the caution light near Rock Island.
According to Trooper Ben Cannon of the Tennessee Highway patrol a marron Ford Taurus, driven by driven by 22 year old Michael Adams of Spencer, came to a stop at the caution light in Rock Island near Dollar General. Adams told Cannon that the sun was in his eyes when he attempted to cross and pulled out in front of Fed Ex truck ,driven by 34 year old Michael Ragland of Gainesboro causing damage to both vehicles. Ragland told Cannon that he was going to swerve to miss but would have collied with the utility pole. He wasn’t hurt in the wreck. Adams received a broken leg and was transported o the hospital. He as charged with failure to yield the right of way, expired registration and driving with no insurance.
