The Upper Cumberland Area Agency on Aging and Disability is now offering application assistance with SNAP, formerly known as the Food Stamp Program. Assistance is offered to adults 60 and over or individuals with a disability. The USDA created SNAP to provide eligible people with monthly benefits to buy food.
Over $19 million in food stamps are not being utilized by the 60 and over population in the 14 counties within the Upper Cumberland region, which includes Warren County.
Applicants 60 and over or an individual with a disability may call 931-476-4119 for free and confidential application assistance.
